Do you have a long URL (web link) that you need students to click? It's impossible to write the entire link on the board. You just can't speak it out loud. What can you do? Option #1 Shorten the link. Go to https://goo.gl/ and paste your long URL in the field. It will give you a short URL that you can print on the board. (Capital letters matter, so be sure to print it accurately!) The short URL brings you right to the longer one. Option #2 Paste the long URL into Google Classroom. Create an "announcement," include a description of the link, and share it with multiple classes. Option #3 Generate a QR code. Students will need to download a free QR code reader to scan the code. I like "QR Scanner," but there are others. The QR code reader uses the camera to access the QR code, then opens the web browser and brings you right to the page. I like http://www.qr-code-generator.com/ but there are many others. Simply paste your long URL into the field and a QR code is generated. Download it to save it, paste it in a doc or a website, and you're good to go! Here is an example of a QR code:
